About the position – Summer Intern
We are currently in the process of developing partnerships with local organizations in order to decrease neonatal mortality and morbidity. One key component of improving neonatal hypothermia management practices is the development and implementation of hypothermia-related newborn health protocols. Embrace aims to recruit a qualified and passionate individual to help understand current practices and protocols within our partner sites, with the ultimate objective of implementing and iterating upon hypothermia management protocols. This position is self-funded.
Specific Responsibilities
Assessment: better understand current hypothermia management protocols and practices that may exist among our India-based partner sites.
Protocol development: work with local staff, clinicians, and Embrace staff and advisors to develop a preliminary hypothermia management protocol for use at our partner sites.
Other responsibilities may arise related to program management and development.
Required Qualifications
Master’s level candidate preferred
Experience working on and developing clinical protocols preferred
Public health background and experience working in a developing country setting required
Qualitative research background strongly preferred
Proven ability to work independently and in a team
Self starter
Hindi or Kannada language skills preferred
